Standalone Product

AI Receptionist — Plug it into the salon you already run

A 24/7 AI phone receptionist trained on your salon's services, staff, and hours. Answers every call, books appointments, upsells promotions, and hands the booking off to whatever system you're already using. No booking system switch required.

Why a standalone AI Receptionist?

The average salon misses 40% of its incoming calls — clients calling while you're mid-service, after hours, during lunch, or when you're simply too slammed to pick up. Each missed call is a booking that walked away to a competitor.

Most AI receptionist products force you to replace your entire booking system to use them. That's a non-starter for the majority of salon owners — you've already trained your staff on Fresha or Vagaro, your clients know how to book there, and the last thing you want is a 6-week migration project.

SICUS AI Receptionist is sold standalone — you keep your booking system, you add the AI on the phone, and the bookings flow into your existing calendar. Same AI that powers the full Sicus Booking platform, packaged so you can drop it in without changing anything else.

What the AI actually does on a call

Not a robot reading from a script — a conversation that feels natural and gets the booking.

Answers every call, 24/7

Zero missed calls. Calls are picked up instantly whether you're with a client, closed for the day, or slammed on a Saturday. Clients never get voicemail.

Books appointments end-to-end

Captures the client's name, service, preferred time, technician (if requested), and phone number — then confirms the booking and hands the details to your existing booking system.

Upsells automatically

Mid-week slow? The AI suggests your Tuesday happy hour. New lash service launching? It mentions it to relevant clients. Every upsell is configured by you during onboarding.

Answers FAQs on its own

Service pricing, hours, parking, cancellation policy, which techs do which services, walk-in availability. You train it once during onboarding; it handles these questions forever.

Honest when it doesn't know

If a question falls outside the trained scope, the AI captures the client's details and sends you an SMS or email to follow up — instead of inventing an answer. You stay in control of edge cases.

What a call sounds like

Real calls — tap any one to listen. The AI adapts to whatever the client actually says, not a fixed script.

AI receptionist for salon booking — automated phone answering and appointment scheduling

3 ways to integrate with your current setup

Pick the level that matches your existing system and how much automation you want. We recommend the right one during onboarding.

1Forward + Email/SMS Handoff

Complexity: Lowest · Setup time: 1-2 days · Works with: Any booking system (even paper calendars)

You forward your salon's phone line to a dedicated SICUS number (or set it as the "busy/no-answer" forward). The AI takes the call, captures the booking details, and sends you an email or SMS with the client's name, service, time, and phone number. You (or a front desk person) manually add the booking to your existing system — same way you'd handle a phone call that you took yourself. Zero technical setup. Works with literally any booking platform or paper calendar.

2Shared Calendar (Vagaro only, today)

Complexity: Medium · Setup time: 3-5 days · Works with: Vagaro (via Google Calendar)

The AI pushes confirmed bookings into a Google Calendar that Vagaro reads from. Your team opens the imported event in Vagaro and converts it to a real appointment with one tap — faster than re-typing the details from an email. Google Calendar only, not Microsoft 365 or iCloud. Fresha, Booksy, and Square don't support this workflow — for those platforms, use Option 1 or Option 3.

3Direct API Integration

Complexity: Highest · Setup time: 1-2 weeks · Works with: Square Appointments and other platforms with open public APIs

The AI connects directly to your booking platform's API to create, modify, and cancel appointments without a middle step. When a client calls and books, the appointment appears in your salon's booking system in real time. This is the most seamless option but requires a platform with a public API — not all booking systems offer this. We confirm availability during the discovery call.

[TBD — exact list of API-supported platforms confirmed during onboarding. Current supported platforms: Sicus Booking (native), Square Appointments, plus whatever others we've verified by the time you sign up.]

How to get started — 5 to 7 days to go live

No long migration projects, no multi-week onboarding.

1

Free 15-min Discovery Call

We learn about your salon — services, call volume, current booking system, languages needed. You get a clear recommendation on which integration level fits and a tailored quote. No pressure, no pitch.

2

Share Your Salon Details

You fill out a simple intake form with your services and pricing, staff names and specialties, business hours, current promotions, cancellation policy, and any FAQs you want the AI to handle. Takes 30-45 minutes.

3

AI Training & Phone Setup

We train the AI on your salon-specific data, provision a dedicated phone number, and set up the integration with your existing booking system. You review the AI's scripts and test it with sample calls before going live. Takes 3-5 business days.

4

Go Live

You forward your salon line to the SICUS number (or set as busy/no-answer forward). The AI starts answering calls immediately. You monitor the first few days closely, then let it run while you focus on actual clients.

5

Monthly Review & Tuning

Once a month we send you a performance report — total calls, bookings captured, common questions, missed handoffs, revenue attributed. Together we update the AI's responses based on real conversations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes — but the integration style depends on which platform you use. Option 1 (forward + email/SMS) works with every booking system on earth, including Fresha, Vagaro, Booksy, Square, Mangomint, and paper calendars, because we just deliver a formatted booking request to your inbox and you or your front desk types it in. Option 2 (shared Google Calendar) works with Vagaro only. Option 3 (direct API) works with Square Appointments and other platforms with open public APIs. Fresha and Booksy do not currently expose a public API, so direct integration with those two is not available.

The AI is trained on YOUR salon's services, staff, hours, pricing, and policies during onboarding. When a client calls, it greets them in your brand voice, understands natural conversation (not just keywords), collects booking details, confirms them back, sends the booking to you, and handles common questions on its own. Bilingual EN/VI. See the sample transcript above for the style.

Pricing is tailored based on your call volume, integration level, and language needs. Flat monthly — no per-call charges or surprise overages. Book a 15-minute discovery call and we'll send you a quote within 24 hours.

You provide: services list with pricing, staff names and specialties, business hours, current promotions, and FAQs. We provide: AI training, phone number, integration, and bilingual voices. Setup takes 5-7 days from signing up to going live. During that window you review and approve the AI's scripts and test with sample calls.

Two configurable options: (1) Take a message — captures the client's details and sends you an SMS or email for follow-up. (2) Transfer the call to a real person (you, a team member, or a fallback number). We recommend option 1 for most small salons. The AI is honest when it doesn't know something — it won't invent answers.
